Photorealistic Mug Shot that are woven on a loom by Joanne Arnett

“Mug shots are taken at a point between conflict and resolution,” Arnett explains. “The person being photographed is documented at a time where life has slipped out of control. There is no opportunity to prepare for the picture, and he knows it will be made public. So there is an interesting element of being alone yet also on display.” Each textile is titled after the subject’s sentence, such as, Thirty Hours Community Service, and Six Months Probation.

It takes Arnett four weeks to plan and execute each textile.

Gerardo Feldstein - Sculptures

Argentinian artist, Gerardo Feldstein came to sculpture through painting. Born in Buenos Aires, he studied electrical engineering for a few years, started to paint and today he is an artist in various fields. It is always something uncommon and bizarre that marks his pieces. The bodies have enormous hands, arms or feet, though it seems like their tiny heads aren’t able to tell them how to move their tremendous extremities.
